Literary Classic Covers
This project started when my sibling challenged me to design alternate covers for Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita. When that gained an audience, I realized what an exciting combination of my passions this was. I adore media analysis and literary criticism, and I love art and design. Often, literary classics can be marketed by title alone (with the help of school reading lists). In this ongoing series, I try to create a cover design that stems from readings of the text. I like to imagine I am marketing these books to new readers, and asking established readers - “Why are these books still important to us?”
